On today’s very special episode honoring the 40th anniversary of the martyrdom of Saint Oscar Romero, the Archbishop of San Salvador, El Salvador, who was assassinated for speaking out against the civil war that rocked El Salvador from 1980 to 1992, we’re honored to feature an excerpt from an interview we recently conducted with the Rev. Brendan Lally, S.J. '70, former Chaplain at the University and current Chaplain at Saint Joseph’s University, that details how and why the University began sending members of its community to El Salvador.
